Election to Council of one Academic Staff Member

Council Election 2025 - Academic Staff (Faculties Member) – Casual Vacancy 

Following a call for nominations to elect one casual member of the academic staff of the University to the ANU Council, six (6) nominations were received.

As more than one nomination has been received, an online ballot will be held.

The nominated candidates are: 

• Professor Penny Kyburz
• Dr Francis Markham
• Professor Rohan Pitchford
• Associate Professor Dale Roberts 
• Associate Professor Bryan Wang
• Distinguished Professor Asmi Wood

Voting

Voting online for the election is now open and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Thursday 15 May 2025.

To cast your vote please use this web to the ANU Apollo Poll.

Only members of the academic staff employed in a full-time or part-time standard or fixed term capacity, who are of or above the grade of academic level A, and who were paid a salary on payday Thursday 10 April 2025, are eligible to vote in this ballot.

The elected staff member will hold office on a casual basis, until 29 September 2026.
